Jeannie is a licensed physical therapist, Roy Matheson and Associates and Humanscale, Inc. certified office ergonomics evaluator. She graduated in 1993 from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, with a BA in Communications and Psychology. In 2000, she graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, with a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy.
Jeannie is a native of the Washington, DC, area, and has been treating occupational orthopedic injuries for more than 15 years. The first several years of Jeannie's career were spent in Chicago, Illinois, working for Rush Occupational Health Centers (ROHC), focused on the physical therapy treatment, and prevention, of work related musculo-skeletal injuries.
Currently, Jeannie is the Director of Physical Therapy at Nova Pain and Rehab in Arlington, Virginia. Jeannie is a certified Pilates instructor for rehabilitation professionals, and incorporates neck and low back stabilization techniques with both her physical therapy patients and ergonomics clients. She is the developer of the Unity Method of Ergonomic Workspace Planning which she created to help demystify the process of user height-based workspace planning and to help make the process easier and repeatable for everyone. In addition, she personally designs, patents and sells the ergonomic equipment you see on this website.
